British Colonial Office East Florida Finding Aid

East Florida , which consisted of peninsular Florida, and with its capital in St. Augustine, was a colony of Great Britain  from 1763 to 1783.   The colonial and Revolutionary time period of East Florida is found in official records, from both the British Board of Trade and the Secretary of State.  These records,  archived in the British Colonial Office (C05) papers, are available in the David Library on 11 reels of microfilm.

Volunteer researcher David Swain has created a detailed finding aid in the form of an annotated table of contents.  To view this finding aid click here.
