The British colony of West Florida lasted for only 20 years, between two Treaties of Paris—the first in 1763 and the second in 1783. Despite the shortness of its duration, British West Florida’s colonial experience is documented by large quantities of official records, archived in the British Colonial Office (C05) papers and available in the David Library on 20 reels of microfilm.
